GFX designing

Im making patches if anyone wants to have a look etc add my msn or send me an email, and i'll send some piccies.
I'm not releasing a patch untill I feel its substancial enough to be a 'patch' other than some lamoids that release something which is incomplete...
Otherwise only my SJM guild members get to test my alpha's, no I'm not saying you should join my guild, just warning that unless your really persistant and I can trust that no-one will steal my patch, then there is no -way that im sending anyone a copy of it lol <(o________O)>

Patches for what if I may ask? Just wonder because I have got into drawing stuff for EO, weather or not they ever do make it into the game is another thing, I still love to draw for it regardless though. :3

Well of course Graphic Patches, but I meant for what Game and or whatever else might need it, this little Dragon thing in my Avatar I drew as a Monster for EO. xP

I recoloured Baruta to black..I did the front side of Baru but it looks weird

So... hacking?

Yes is kinda hacking, the eo gfx files are default at 'unreadable'. Vult-r dodesn't want us making a mockery of his work, but lets face it, some stuff just sucks. Anyone here can say that some shity armors look better than high stat armors. This is why I make patches anyway, so I feel like I look good AND have high stats lol.

So how do I change the GFX files and how do I know which one to chose for certain things? EX. I wanted to change the color of my Oron from Brown and Gold to Gray and red, or, I wanted to change the color of my hair from Blonde/Yellow to glowing blue like Amuzings?

This is advice for ResHacker:
I will not take any responsibility for anything that you mess up and hopefully you have a few capable braincells before attempting this
Make sure EO is fully closed or you WILL mess up the whole thing and have to redownload it.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE A BACKFILE OF ANYTHING YOU EDIT
1. Open ResHacker
2. Click file and open in the top-right corner.
3. Locate the gfx folder inside your endless folder and double click.
4. Browse through armours, weapons, haircuts or whatever you fancy editing.
5. Once you have found what you want, click save [bitmap: numbers] into a folder of your choice
6. Make sure you get all of the pictures for the item you want to edit.
7. Open the pictures in MS paint or Paintshop pro or whatever you use.
8. Edit, recolor, whatever.(JetBlack is always invisible ingame, just a warning)
9. Once you are happy with your edited gfx, go back to reshacker and start replacing the gfx with the ones you edited.
10. Once you have replaced all gfx, click file then save.
11. Close reshacker and hopefully you didn't mess anything up and enjoy your very own gfx patch! ^_^

GFX 1 = Screens + Login crap
GFX 2 = Screens + Icons
GFX 3 = Tiles
GFX 4 =UnNamed Objects

GFX 5 = UnNamed Objects
GFX 6 = UnNamed Objects
GFX 7 = More tiles
GFX 8 = Male + Female skins
GFX 9 = Male Hair
GFX 10 = Female Hair
GFX 11 = Shoes on males
GFX 12 = Shoes on females
GFX 13 = Male Clothes
GFX 14 = Female clothes
GFX 15 = Hats on males
GFX 16 = Hats on females
GFX 17 = Weapons on males
GFX 18 = Weapons on females
GFX 19 = Shields on males
GFX 20 = Shields on females
GFX 21 = Monsters
GFX 22 = Shadows
GFX 23 = Items on floors/shops/bank/etc.
GFX 24 = Effects/Spells
GFX 25 = Spell icons

I don't think patches qualify as hacking..its not server side.
